BEER AND WINE PRODUCING IN ESTONIA

Day 1

Arrival to Tallinn. First stop at Saku Brewery. Excursion in the factory and beer degustation.
Second stop at Kiiu Tower, the smallest fortress in Estonia from 16th century.
We make here a coffee break with the liquor Kiiu Torn, which is the local speciality.

Day 2

In the morning short tour of Rakvere including Rakvere Castle ruins. Tour includes also the
wine cellar. Departure to Tartu. Option: visit to a wildlife park on the way.
Arrival to Tartu. Visit to Tartu Brewery (A Le Coq). Excursion in the factory and beer tasting.
NB! Only on Wed. Fr. and Sat. Option: Tartu city sightseeing tour.

Day 3

Departure from Tartu. Arrival to Põltsamaa which is also called the Estonian Wine Capital.
Short sightseeing including Põltsamaa Castle. Visit to a wine cellar where we will be introduced to the
local products (berry wines) + wine tasting.

Tour includes:

guide escort and bus service for the whole tour, accommodations with breakfast in *** hotels, dinners, visit to Saku Brewery,
degustation with snacks in Kiiu Tower,
Tartu A Le Coq Brewery,
Põltsamaa Wine Cellar.

EXTENTION: BEER AND WINE PRODUCING IN LATVIA

Day 3 – From Tartu we head to Valmiera. Valmiera Manor has a small private brewery, making beer only for some shops and pubs. Tour in the brewery, degustation. Lunch. After lunch visit Cesis (the main attraction is Cesis Castle). Heading towards Riga we also make a stop in Sigulda (optional: visit Turaida Castle). Accommodation in Riga.
Day 4 – Riga sightseeing tour in the morning. Early afternoon trip to Ogre – organic birch sap farm.
All kind of products made from birch sap – sweet syrup, fresh birch sap, different wines, sparkling wine and birch sap strong (vodka).
Departure or extra night in Riga.
